Ingredients

  • 1 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 c. quick cooking oats
  • 3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350° (325° for glass dish).
  • In bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter.
  • Mix well.
  • Reserving 1/2 cup, press remaining oat mixture on bottom of 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Bake 10 minutes.
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crust.
  • Sprinkle with nuts and semi-sweet chips.
  • Top with remaining oat mixture.
  • Press down.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Cool.
