Ingredients
- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1 medium onion (optional) or 4 green onions (plus tops)
- 1 bell pepper
- 2 carrots
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. salad oil
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. celery salt or seed
Method
- Grate together cabbage, onion, bell pepper and carrots; set aside.
- Combine sugar, salad oil, vinegar, salt, dry mustard and celery salt or seed.
- Bring to boil.
- Pour over cabbage mixture while still hot.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- Keeps 2 to 3 weeks.
