Ingredients
- 6 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
- 4 large onions, chopped
- 4 medium green peppers, chopped
- 3 (2 lb.) jars spaghetti sauce
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 6 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans
Method
- Season beef with salt and brown in 10-quart kettle.
- Add onions and green peppers; cook until tender, but not brown.
- Add remaining ingredients except the kidney beans.
- Cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add water if needed for desired consistency or add more sauce.
- One-half hour before this is done, add kidney beans.
- Serve hot with bread and a salad.
