Ingredients

  • 6 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 4 medium green peppers, chopped
  • 3 (2 lb.) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 6 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans

Method

  • Season beef with salt and brown in 10-quart kettle.
  • Add onions and green peppers; cook until tender, but not brown.
  • Add remaining ingredients except the kidney beans.
  • Cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Add water if needed for desired consistency or add more sauce.
  • One-half hour before this is done, add kidney beans.
  • Serve hot with bread and a salad.
