Ingredients

  • 2 (2 lb.) fryers
  • 1/2 c. olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 Tbsp. dry white wine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. allspice (optional)

Method

  • Cut chickens in serving pieces and brown in hot oil.
  • Remove chicken from pan.
  • Add onions, peppers and garlic.
  • Cook until slightly browned. Return chicken to pan. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1/2 hour or until chicken is tender. Serve with noodles. Serves 6.
