Ingredients
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. unsifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can Baker's Angel Flake coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
Method
- Cream together shortening, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and eggs.
- Beat well.
- Mix in flour, baking powder and salt, stirring until thoroughly blended. Stir in coconut.
- Spread evenly in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool.
- Cut into bars.
- Makes about 36.
