Ingredients

  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour, Sifted
  • 2-1/4 cups White Sugar
  • 3 sticks Butter, Softened
  • 6 whole Eggs
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 can (21 Oz. Can) Cherry Pie Filling
  • Powdered Sugar, To Sprinkle On Top

Method

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except pie filling. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan.
  • Place 2-3 cherries (when cut, there will be 5 squares across the short side of pan) 1 to 2 inches apart across the short side of the pan.
  • Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees (F).
  • Cool completely.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut in cute little cherry squares!
