Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 medium (2 cups) tomatoes, cubed 1-inch
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 (6-ounce) boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli Provolone Cheese
  • 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter, melted

Method

  • Heat oven to 350F.
  • Melt 3 tablespoons butter in 13x9-inch baking pan in oven.
  • Combine all remaining sauce ingredients in bowl; set aside.
  • Place chicken into baking pan, turning to coat with butter.
  • Spoon sauce mixture over chicken.
  • Bake 30-40 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
  • Combine bread crumbs, parsley and butter in bowl.
  • Lay 3 strips cheese over each chicken breast; sprinkle with bread crumb mixture.
  • Continue baking 5-10 minutes or until internal temperature of chicken reaches at least 165F and juices run clear when pierced with a fork and bread crumbs are browned.
