- 8 slices White Or Whole Wheat Day Old Bread
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped Fine
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 1/2 cups Water
- 1/2 cups Sour Cream
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut 4-inch circles out of the slices of bread.
- (Use the rest for crumbs or feed to the birds.)
- Butter one side and press into the muffin pan.
- butter side down, creating a cup.
- Set aside.
- Grate cheese, set aside.
- Brown the meat, onions and garlic.
- Add flour and seasoning, mixing evenly, then add water and sour cream, mixing well to create a thick meat mixture.
- Fill the bread-lined muffins and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top with cheese, then bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
