Ingredients

  • 8 slices White Or Whole Wheat Day Old Bread
  • 1/4 cups Butter
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped Fine
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
  • 1/2 cups Water
  • 1/2 cups Sour Cream

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut 4-inch circles out of the slices of bread.
  • (Use the rest for crumbs or feed to the birds.)
  • Butter one side and press into the muffin pan.
  • butter side down, creating a cup.
  • Set aside.
  • Grate cheese, set aside.
  • Brown the meat, onions and garlic.
  • Add flour and seasoning, mixing evenly, then add water and sour cream, mixing well to create a thick meat mixture.
  • Fill the bread-lined muffins and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and top with cheese, then bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
