Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 6 3/4 tablespoons milk
- 1 3/4 ounces grated cheese or grated Parmesan
- chives chopped, to taste
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Lightly grease a baking sheet. Set aside.
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix together with fingertips. Do not knead or over mix.
- Form into a disk and cut into 8 wedges. Place on the baking sheet leaving space between each scone.
- Bake until golden brown. Serve while still warm with butter.
