Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. sugar (to brown)
- 1 c. milk
- 2/3 stick margarine
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 to 1 c. nuts
Method
- Have all ingredients at room temperature.
- Boil milk and 2 cups sugar over low heat.
- Add browned sugar.
- Melt margarine and add to mixture.
- Cook until mixture forms a soft ball when poured into cold water.
- Add nuts and vanilla.
- Set aside to cool.
- Then beat until smooth and thick.
- Pour into buttered dish.
- Cut into squares.
