Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. regular oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. margarine, melted and cooled
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. dark molasses
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped

Method

  • Mix first 6 ingredients in large bowl.
  • Mix margarine, milk, egg, vanilla and molasses together; stir into flour mixture.
  • Add raisins and walnuts.
  • Drop by teaspoonful on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Makes about 4 dozen.
