Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Margarine
  • 1 c. Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. Wheat germ
  • 1/2 c. Sunflower seeds
  • 1 c. Minced Calif. Dry Figs
  • 14 ounce Sweetened condensed lowfat milk (non-fat)
  • 1/2 c. Coconut, unsweetened (flaked or possibly shredded)
  • 1 c. Minced walnuts

Method

  • Heat margarine in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan - either in microwave or possibly in pre-heating oven.
  • Fold in cracker crumbs, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, and figs; press in an even layer.
  • Pour non-fat sweetened condensed lowfat milk proportionately over crumb mix.
  • Top with coconut and walnuts, pressing down lightly.
  • Bake in a 350 F. oven for 25 to 30 min till toasty brown.
  • Cold.
  • Serve from pan in small squares or possibly break into toffee-like pcs.
  • Enjoy like candy, or possibly trail mix, or possibly top fresh fruit or possibly ice cream with heat-in-your-mouth California Confection.
