Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean grnd beef
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 2 x Celery stalks, minced
  • 1 x 16 ounce. can kidney beans, undrained
  • 1/2 med Head cabbage, minced
  • 1 x 28 ounce. can tomatoes, minced and liquid reserved.
  • 1 x Tomato can water
  • 4 x Beef bouillon cubes Minced fresh parsley

Method

  • In a Dutch oven, brown beef.
  • Add in all other ingredients except parsley; bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer, covered 1 hour.
  • Garnish with parsley.
  • Yield: 3 qts If cooking for 2: Soup can be frzn in serving-size portions to enjoy months later.
