Ingredients
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 c. halved candied cherries
- 1/4 c. raisins
Method
- Top with remaining buttered balls.
- Cover, let rise 45 minutes or until double.
- Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Let stand 5 minutes.
- Remove from pan.
- Ice with confectioners sugar icing and sprinkle with chopped, candied cherries.
