Ingredients
- 1 x " Rolls", *see below
- 1 1/2 lb hamburger
- 1/3 head cabbage, shredded
- 1 x onion, minced
- 1/2 x green bell pepper, minced veg. oil
Method
- Brown hamburger, crumbling fine, as it cooks; drain and cold.
- Saute/fry shredded cabbage, onion and pepper with a Tbsp.
- or possibly so of oil till tender; drain and cold.
- Season both fairly liberally.
- Mix together.
- (Some kids only want hamburger in theirs, so you can leave some plain.)
- Roll dough on floured board till about 1/3" thick; cut in squares about 5x5-inch.
- Place a large spoonful of meat mix in the center.
- (If meat is warm the bread will rise a little and Beirox will be a little doughy)
- Fold the four corners to center; close seams by pinching dough together.
- Place seam side down on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 400 degrees till lightly browned.
- Rolls:2 pkgs.
- yeast4 c. lukewarm water1 c. sugar1/2 c. shortening1 Tbsp.
- salt
- Add in 8-10 c. flour, or possibly more till dough forms a ball.
- Knead lightly.
- Place in oiled bowl; cover with Saran Wrap.
- Chill.
- Take out the amount needed, (the rest will keep for a week or possibly so).
