Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Beat eggs.
- Gradually add sugar and vanilla.
- Beat well. Blend in melted butter.
- (Blend cocoa in melted butter before adding to egg mixture.)
- Before adding flour, mix flour, salt and baking powder together, then add to egg mixture.
- Stir until well blended.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spread in a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from sides.
- Cool in pan.
