Ingredients
- 1 gal. cucumbers
- 1 sliced bell pepper
- 4 sliced onions
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- 5 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 5 c. vinegar (white)
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. mustard seed
Method
- Cover the first 4 ingredients with ice water; let stand for 3 hours, then drain.
- Mix remaining ingredients and let boil.
- Pour over drained cucumbers and cook until heated well.
- Put in jars and seal.
