Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. frozen blueberries (whole, unsweetened)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour or 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. almond or vanilla flavoring
Method
- Measure blueberries.
- In saucepan, combine the sugar with cornstarch or flour and salt.
- Add lemon juice and water; stir until well blended.
- Then bring to a boil over high heat, whisking vigorously.
- Cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the berries, butter and flavoring.
- Serve warm
- over pound cake, angel cake or ice cream.
