Ingredients
- 1 (8 to 9 oz.) loaf day old French bread, cut in 1-inch slices on diagonal
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. flour
- 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. blueberries
Method
- Mix flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Cut in butter until coarsely ground.
- Turn slices of bread over and cover well with blueberries.
- Sprinkle crumb mixture on top.
- Bake 40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve by slices or cut into squares.
- (May top with slices of strawberries, if desired, instead of blueberries.)
