Ingredients
- 2 1/4 pounds black mission figs
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 lemon
- 2 vanilla beans
Method
- Wash and dry carefully the black figs .Thinly slices figs and place them in a saucepan.Pour the sugar, add the vanilla beans and the juice of 1 lemon.
- Cover and let stand for one hour. Put the pot on the fire, bring to a boil and turn off.
- Put the mixture in the refrigerator for whole night.
- Day after put figs on the fire, cook the jam for about ten minutes , stirring occasionally.
- Put the breast in jars clean, close and leave to cool head down.
