Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
Method
- Sift
- all
- dry
- ingredients together; cut in shortening with pastry
- blender.
- Add milk, all at once; stir only until the dough
- will
- follow
- fork around the bowl.
- Turn out on a floured surface.
- Knead
- gently
- for
- 1 minute.
- Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter.
- Bake at 450° for 10 minutes in a greased baking pan.
