Ingredients
- 1 green cabbage
- 1 small red cabbage
- 1 large onion
- 1 large green pepper
- 1 small jar pimento
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. celery seed (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric (optional)
Method
- Chop or shred fine the cabbages, onion and green pepper; set aside.
- In saucepan, combine other ingredients.
- Bring to a boil. Pour over vegetables.
- Let stand overnight or minimum 12 hours. Will keep indefinitely in refrigerator.
