- 1 large onion
- 1 Tbsp. oleo
- 2 lb. ground meat
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 (11 oz.) pkg. corn chips
- 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 can diced ripe olives
Method
- Saut onion in oleo.
- Add meat and beans.
- Add salt, garlic, tomato sauce, vinegar and chili powder.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Lightly butter 10-inch baking dish.
- Cover bottom with chips; sprinkle with cheese and half of meat sauce.
- Repeat layers.
- Top with corn chips, cheese and olives.
- Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes at 375°.
