Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 Tbsp. oleo
  • 2 lb. ground meat
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1 (11 oz.) pkg. corn chips
  • 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can diced ripe olives

Method

  • Saut onion in oleo.
  • Add meat and beans.
  • Add salt, garlic, tomato sauce, vinegar and chili powder.
  • Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Lightly butter 10-inch baking dish.
  • Cover bottom with chips; sprinkle with cheese and half of meat sauce.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Top with corn chips, cheese and olives.
  • Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes at 375°.
