Ingredients
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 stick or 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 c. flour
Method
- Scald milk.
- Stir in sugar, salt and margarine.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Measure warm water into a large bowl.
- Sprinkle yeast until dissolved.
- Add milk, egg and 2 cups flour.
- Beat with mixer to a soft dough.
- Add rest of flour.
- Stir with wooden spoon. Cover; let rise until double, about 30 minutes.
- Punch down and shape into rolls; let rise.
- Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
