Ingredients

  • 4 medium or 2 large ripe peaches
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

Method

  • Cut peaches in half; remove pits.
  • Place, cut side up, on heavy-duty aluminum foil large enough to be folded and sealed.
  • In bowl, combine sour cream, brown sugar, spices and vanilla.
  • Top peach halves with mixture.
  • Bring together sides of foil, sealing all edges well to make an airtight packet.
  • Place packet of peaches over coals of a grill or in a preheated 375° oven; bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until peaches are soft and sugar in topping has melted.
  • Open foil packet; let peaches cool slightly.
  • Serve warm.
  • Makes 4 servings.
