Ingredients

  • 1 small day old loaf French bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. frozen blueberries
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. sliced strawberries

Method

  • Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Diagonally cut bread into 1-inch slices and place in pan until full.
  • Set aside.
  • In medium bowl, lightly beat eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  • Stir in milk until well blended.
  • Pour mixture over bread in pan, turning slices to coat well.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • In small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Cut butter until coarse crumbs are formed.
  • Turn bread over and scatter blueberries over bread.
  • Sprinkle top with crumb mixture.
  • Bake 40 minutes.
  • Cut into squares and top with strawberries.
