Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. frozen asparagus spears, thawed or fresh asparagus cooked first
  • 1 loaf white bread (about 20 slices)
  • 4 oz. crumbled Blue cheese
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tbsp. Miracle Whip
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 stick melted margarine

Method

  • Cut crusts off bread and roll with rolling pin.
  • Combine cheeses, Miracle Whip and egg.
  • Spread each slice of bread with 1 teaspoon cheese mixture.
  • Top with asparagus spear and roll up. Cut each slice in 3 pieces.
  • Dip each piece in melted margarine. Place on cookie sheet and freeze.
  • Place in storage container when frozen.
  • Later, bake as needed, at 350° for 20 minutes or until slightly golden.
  • Makes approximately 60.
  • Serve hot.
  • (These keep about 3 months in freezer.)
