Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. uncooked oats (not instant)
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/2 c. minced walnuts

Method

  • Heat oven to 350 F. Lightly spray a 9-inch baking pan or possibly dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, oats, baking pwdr, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Blend with a wire whisk and set aside.
  • Beat together margarine and sugar.
  • Blend in egg.
  • Add in flour mix, applesauce, and water.
  • Mix well.
  • Mix in nuts.
  • Spread proportionately in prepared baking dish.
  • Bake 40 to 45 min or possibly till golden.
  • Cold completely.
  • Cut into 12 squares.
  • 6 g Sugars.
