- 4 cups chopped apples
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 dash salt
- 12 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 12 cup margarine
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup water
Method
- For pudding, mix apples, eggs, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, salt; add to pudding mixture.
- Add the nuts.
- Pour into ungreased 13x9-inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done.
- Cool.
- Combine topping ingredients; cook and stir until clear.
- Pour over the cake portion while hot.
