Ingredients
- large apples, to make 20 quarters
- 1 can buttermilk biscuits
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 c. water
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice
Method
- Peel and quarter large apples (if small, use 1/2).
- Roll out biscuits
- thin
- and
- cut
- in
- halves (20 halves).
- Take 1/2 biscuit and wrap around each apple quarter.
- Place on greased 9 x 12-inch
- pan.
- Melt
- 2 sticks butter and pour over dumplings. Mix together water, sugar, cinnamon and apple pie spice.
- Pour over dumplings. Bake
- at
- 375° for
- 1 hour.
- One can biscuits equal 20 dumplings.
- May halve recipe.
