Ingredients

  • 1 lb white button mushrooms
  • 12 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 large garlic clove, slivered
  • 12 bunch parsley
  • 34-1 cup Italian salad dressing
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Wipe mushrooms clean, and trim a slice from each stem.
  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan.
  • Add mushrooms, and boil for two minutes.
  • Drain aand pat dry with paper towels.
  • Pack into a clean, dry one-pint jar with the oregano and garlic.
  • Add whole stems of parsley to make an attractive presentation.
  • Add enough dressing to cover mushrooms.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate for one week.
