Ingredients
- 10 large or 12 medium egg whites (at room temperature)
- 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. flour
Method
- Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until peaks form.
- Add vanilla.
- Slowly add sugar until stiff peaks form.
- In separate bowl, sift together the flour and powdered sugar.
- Fold this into the egg white mixture.
- Bake at 350° for 40 or 45 minutes in an ungreased tube pan.
