- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. hamburger meat
- 1 medium onion
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
Method
- Brown meat and onion; drain.
- Add tomato soup, catsup, water, salt and brown sugar.
- Simmer; stir frequently.
- Cook noodles by package directions while sauce simmers.
- Drain noodles and mix with sour cream and chicken soup.
- Pour noodle mixture into 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
- Slice Velveeta layer on top of noodles. Pour sauce on top of cheese.
- Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake another 20 to 30 minutes.
