Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 7 pkg. dry yeast
- 10 1/2 c. milk
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 6 Tbsp. salt
- 34 to 36 c. flour (use 10 c. to stir, add rest and knead)
Method
- Knead 15 to 30 minutes.
- Let double in size.
- Make into loaves to double again.
- Coat tops with oil before baking.
- Bake at 350° until brown and sounds shallow by gently thumping center.
- These freeze well.
