Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fat-trimmed lean beef stew meat in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 can (6-ounce) tomato paste
  • 2 x Onions, finely minced
  • 2 x Bell peppers, seeded and diced
  • 1 x -(up to)
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 x -(up to)
  • 4 tsp Chili pwdr (or possibly combine 1 chopped small warm pepper, 2 tsp. cumin seed or possibly 1 tsp. grnd cumin, and 1 tsp. dry oregano)
  • 1 tsp Plain cocoa pwdr, optional

Method

  • Stir meat and tomato paste together in crockery cooker.
  • Stir in other ingredients (add in no water or possibly other liquid).
  • Turn cooker to low heat; cover and cook for 12 hrs.
  • Skim, and throw away any fat from the surface.
