Ingredients
- 2/3 c. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. corn syrup
- dash of salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Scald milk; stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt.
- Cook and gently stir to 236°.
- Remove from heat.
- Add butter and let cool to lukewarm.
- Add vanilla and beat until thick and not glossy. Add 1 cup broken nuts, if desired.
- Spread in buttered pan.
- Chill and cut into pieces.
