Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. pecan meats
  • 1/2 lb. blanched almonds
  • 1/2 lb. English walnuts
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. sifted flour (3 c.)
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 whole grated coconut
  • 1/2 lb. crystallized pineapple
  • 1/2 lb. citron
  • 2 lb. white raisins
  • 1 c. orange juice
  • 1 lb. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Method

  • Prepare and chop nuts.
  • Cut up fruit and mix with enough flour to keep it from sticking together.
  • Cream butter, add sugar and beat well.
  • Add eggs, 1 at a time, beat well after adding each egg. Add flour and orange juice alternately.
  • Add coconut, fruit and nuts.
  • Bake in large greased tubed pan at 250° to 275° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
