Ingredients

  • Pillsbury German chocolate cake mix
  • oleo
  • Eagle Brand milk
  • Kraft caramels
  • pecans

Method

  • Mix German chocolate cake mix as on box.
  • Divide batter in half.
  • To half batter add 1/2 cup of melted oleo and 1/2 cup of Eagle Brand milk. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
  • Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
  • While baking melt 14 ounces of Kraft caramels, 1/2 cup oleo, other half of Eagle Brand milk and 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
  • Pour mixture over baked cake, then on the caramel mixture pour remaining cake batter.
  • Bake additional 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Use your own icing.
  • Very rich.
