- 2 cups water
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbs prepared yellow mustard
- 2 tsp hot pepper sauce (or
- to taste)
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbs soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, and bring to a light boil over high heat, stirring frequently.
- Reduce to simmer, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Sauce will continue to thicken somewhat as it cools. Refrigerated left overs.
