Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbs prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp hot pepper sauce (or
  • to taste)
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, and bring to a light boil over high heat, stirring frequently.
  • Reduce to simmer, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Sauce will continue to thicken somewhat as it cools. Refrigerated left overs.
