Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. sugar
  • red and green pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 6 large ripe tomatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1 large green pepper, cut into rings
  • 1 large onion, cut into rings
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced

Method

  • Heat mixture of vinegar, celery seed, mustard seed, salt, sugar and water to boiling for 2 minutes.
  • Pour mixture over vegetables and mix well.
  • Let stand.
  • Serve.
  • Will last for several days.
