Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. round steaks
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 large stalks celery
- 6 large carrots, julienne sliced
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- seasoned pepper
- seasoned meat tenderizer (Aldoph's; no m.s.g.)
- cooking oil
Method
- Sprinkle meat with pepper, meat tenderizer and then flour.
- Fry until lightly browned on medium-high heat.
- Place cooked meat in a large casserole dish.
- Layer onions, celery and carrots over meat. Then pour tomato sauce over all.
- Bake at 250° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, cooked peas and hot rolls.
