- 3 lb. lean pork spareribs, cut into single ribs
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 large onions, sliced and separated into rings
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- juice of 2 lemons
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 tsp. curry powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
Method
- Place ribs in a large roaster; cover with water and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Lower the heat, skim the foam, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Transfer ribs to paper towels to drain. Discard the water.
- Preheat the oven to 300°.
