Ingredients

  • pastry for 9-inch two crust pie
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 c. rhubarb, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 c. sliced fresh strawberries

Method

  • Combine all ingredients, except pastry, and let stand for 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare pastry for 9-inch pie.
  • Put mixture into pie crust.
  • Dot with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Put on top crust.
  • Put aluminum foil around edge.
  • Bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 400°.
