Ingredients
- 3/4 c. heavy cream
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. + 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 2 tsp. lemon rind
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Whip cream.
- Add remaining ingredients except flour.
- Stir 10 minutes.
- Add flour and stir until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- May be rolled 1/4-inch and cut into shapes.
- Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Brush with water before baking in 300° oven.
- Bake 8 to 12 minutes.
- Leave on cookie sheet to cool. Decorate if desired.
