Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 (No. 2 1/2 size) can crushed pineapple
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 large Cool Whip or 2 pkg. Dream Whip
- 1 large box vanilla pudding mix
Method
- Bake cake according to directions, using 2 round pans or sheet pan.
- Let cake cool.
- Cut in half if sheet pan.
- Crumble one of the cake halves in bottom of punch bowl.
- Mix together pineapple, pecans and pie filling.
- Layer half of mixture on cake crumbs. Prepare pudding and pour 1/2 over fruit.
- Crumble other half of cake layer, remaining fruit, then remaining pudding.
- Spread Cool Whip on top.
- Sprinkle with nuts or coconut.
