Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. pineapple (crushed) with juice
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt

Method

  • Cream Crisco, butter and margarine with sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time; beat well after each egg.
  • Add flour with baking powder and salt, mixed one spoonful at a time, with milk.
  • Add teaspoon of vanilla; mix well.
  • Stir in pineapple with juice and blend well.
  • Place in cold oven.
  • Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
