Ingredients
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. honey
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Combine milk, honey and salt.
- Combine flour and shortening in a separate bowl, cutting shortening in.
- Slowly add the liquid and dry ingredients together and mix well.
- Roll out as if for pie crust except cut into lattice strips (1/2 to 1-inch wide).
- Place strips in a crisscross pattern (or checkerboard) in the bottom of baking pan and place another layer on top after filling is added.
