Ingredients

  • 1 quart. lowfat milk
  • 8 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  • Cook 1 1/2 pints lowfat milk in double boiler.
  • Add in 4 Tbsp.
  • sugar and stir.
  • In another bowl combine 4 Tbsp.
  • sugar, 4 Tbsp.
  • cornstarch and 4 Tbsp.
  • cocoa.
  • Slowly add in 1/2 pint cool lowfat milk and stir to remove all lumps.
  • When smooth, add in this combination slowly to warmed lowfat milk in pan.
  • Cook and stir constantly till thickened (about 10 min).
  • Add in vanilla and pour into Pyrex dish or possibly individual dessert dishes.
  • This is easy to prepare and tastes much much better than packaged chocolate pudding.
