Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/4 c. chopped green onions
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (2 c.)
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. chopped jalapeno peppers

Method

  • In microwavable small bowl, microwave butter on High until melted.
  • Stir in onions; cook 30 seconds, or until wilted. Remove.
  • In large bowl, microwave cream cheese on Medium for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until soft.
  • Remove from oven.
  • With electric mixer at high speed, beat cream cheese and Cheddar cheese until smooth.
  • On low speed, beat in green onions, jalapeno peppers to taste and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Transfer to a piece of plastic wrap; shape into a ball.
  • Wrap and refrigerate until firm.
  • Roll in crushed chips.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
