Ingredients
- 4 c. sauerkraut juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. oil or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped mushrooms, podpinkies
- 1/4 c. barley
- 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1 clove chopped garlic
- 1 c. cold water
Method
- Bring 4 cups water to a boil; add barley.
- Cook together until barley is done, stirring often and adding water when needed.
- Add sauerkraut juice.
